Any ideas on how to correct this? No matter what I tried, I couldn't get both halves to scan the same. Oh, and it's thumbnailed. Click to enlarge.

Aw shit, I forgot to change the security code. Sometimes scrapbook is more trouble then it's worth. You should be able to see it now.

If I'm understanding, this is two images that you've put together into one, and you want them to match. Right?

If so, you need to start with the left one. It needs to be made darker and more blue to match the right one. When they match fairly well, then you can adjust them both to be lighter, or to look like the right side, if that's what you're after.

This is about as close as I could get it:

The whole picture seems to match except you can still see the remains of the seam on his arm, and try as I might, I can't smooth that out. Not that it is a high quality scan to begin with, the original was printed on cheap paper and I suspect that this is a common problem because though the one half is common enough, the whole picture is rare. Still, I wouldn't have been able to get this far without your help, so thank you very much. It's so frustrating because I'm not good with color correction.

You know that's really pretty dang good, you should be proud. The arm just looks like the boat or whatever has some kind of shade, but his arm is sticking out of the shade and into the sun. If your software has a "heal brush" you might be able to fix that, but I'm not sure it's worth it, because you've done really well.
